We at Mathnasium are seeking a passionate STEM Summer Camp Counselor to join our team for the 2024 season! As a Summer Camp Counselor, your primary responsibility is to ensure the safety of campers. We place great emphasis on building meaningful relationships with campers, incorporating social-emotional learning, and fostering enthusiasm for STEM subjects through hands-on projects and activities. We are looking for reliable individuals who can commit to a 4-week contract, with duty hours between 9 am and 3 pm, Monday to Friday, during the summer.

Responsibilities

Design, prepare, and execute STEM programs and Art Crafts with a daily schedule, along with providing material kits for activities such as Microsoft Minecraft® Education, Lego® Robot Building, and Coding Program for Kids.
Take the lead in organizing recreational and educational activities, both indoor and outdoor games.
Educate campers through engaging games and explorations, ensuring strict adherence to all safety rules.
Maintain effective communication with families when needed.

Qualifications:

Proficient in establishing and maintaining cooperative teamwork
Skilled in presenting project tasks with a hands-on approach
Comfortable and enthusiastic about instructing students aged 6-12
Patient and reliable
Passionate about empowering young students in the camp
Previous experience as a summer camp counselor is required
Familiarity with LEGO® Education and Minecraft building is a plus

Job Type: Part-time

Schedule:

Monday to Friday 8:45 AM - 3:15 PM

Work Location: Snoqualmie Ridge

Compensation: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
